‘TAXI!’ - New commission
Exclusive to this years festival ‘Taxi!’ is the brand new show from festival favourites Avant Garde Dance. Commissioned by Paradise Gardens and produced by Remarkable Productions the power and originality of this piece will cement its place in the memory long after the crowds have gone.
Inspired by London and the hurly burly of urban daily life the show will again demonstrate their highly acclaimed unique style of abstract Streetdance set against the backdrop of the Victoria Park bandstand and a London taxi.
Avant Garde Dance was established in 2001 by choreographer Tony Adigun, they constantly strive to challenge the norm and be different from others around them. Mixing different styles and shapes together their ethos is to Innovate Never Replicate!!! Avant Garde have previously presented their work at the The Place, Sadler’s Wells Theatre and The South Bank Centre as well as the Lovebox Weekender and the Paradise Gardens Festival (2006-9).
Attack On The Bandstand
Back again this year and popular as ever Avant Garde present ‘Attack On The Bandstand’

This guaranteed high energy, hard hitting urban dance production is inspired by the apocalyptic action thriller Mad Max. This piece will blow you away with its tribal warrior vibe – a visual feast that will lead you mercilessly into an interactive world of chaos.
